Shubhradeep Nandi serves as the Consulting Chief Data Scientist for the Government of Andhra Pradesh and is the Co-Founder and Chief AI Researcher at ResponCibleAI. An accomplished AI researcher specialising in alignment, control, and security, he brings over 18 years of professional experience, including more than a decade dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. His work is widely recognised for advancing applied research in Large Language Models, Responsible AI, and AI-driven financial risk intelligence.

He has been among the early researchers to identify and report critical risks associated with emerging agentic systems, particularly vulnerabilities in Agentic Skills within OpenClaw and its Clawhub ecosystem. During a notable AI supply chain attack, ResponCibleAI was one of the first Indian AI safety and security startups to issue an advisory and provide actionable remediation frameworks, reinforcing its position at the forefront of AI risk management.
Shubhradeep’s research has received the “Highly Commendable Work” recognition from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, along with accolades from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Association of Data Scientists (ADaSci). He has been named among India’s Top 7 GenAI Scientists and has led the development of government-backed AI systems for tax fraud detection, in addition to establishing a large-scale Data Analytics Unit to drive data-informed governance.
